A good example of a mid 19th century percussion back action overcoat pistol. Octaganal Damascus barrel, with stirup ramrod and steel furniture. Full walnut stock with silver escutcheon and slide mounts and very good chequered grip. Ten inches over all.Two small stable cracks to the forend. The Back action lock is in excellent condition and working order with no pitting. Nicely engraved with a floral decoration and signed B WOODWARD.
