A good example of an 18th century British Naval Officers five ball hilt sword. 36.25 inches overall with a central fulered spear point blade, engraved with various decorations and the Crown and GR 111. A very good reeded grip with brass mounts and cushion pommel. The grips central band also engraved with a crown and anchor.
Some ware throughout, the blade edge with some ware and notches. A very good period piece.
